What a wonderful day celebrating the 2026 Vizsla Canada Regional Specialty for Smooth and Wirehaired Vizslas on July 31 at The Ranch House Grounds in Okotoks, Alberta.
Our sincere thanks go to Regional Specialty Judge Chie Ejima Yamakado, Sweepstakes Judge Chris Hodges, the Alberta Kennel Club, our exhibitors, volunteers, sponsors and everyone who contributed to making this year’s Regional Specialty such a memorable success. The event was held in conjunction with the Alberta Kennel Club Summer Classic.
Congratulations to every exhibitor who stepped into the ring. Whether you were celebrating a major award, a class placement, a promising young dog, an accomplished veteran or simply the opportunity to gather with fellow Vizsla enthusiasts, you helped make the day a true celebration of our breeds.
The Regional showcased the quality, versatility and spirit of the Vizsla through Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes, regular and non-regular conformation classes, Canadian-bred dogs, veterans and field-qualified dogs. From promising youngsters beginning their show careers to accomplished dogs demonstrating beauty, soundness and working ability, the day reflected so much of what makes the Vizsla community special.
