The Frank Lacko Cancer Research Memorial Fund

Frank Lacko, from President and long time Vizsla Canada member, and Vizsla Club of America member, passed away in March 2017 after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Frank was a well-known and well-regarded sportsman, who raised many champion and field titled Vizslas, handling them in the show and field. Frank and his wife, Martha, have owned, bred, shown and supported the Vizsla breed for thirty-one years as Toldin Vizslas, in both Canada and the USA.

The Vizsla Club of America Welfare Foundation (VCA WF)  was formally established in 2000 by the Vizsla Club of America Board of Directors to give the Vizsla breed a recognized charitable structure with non-profit status for grant-making purposes. The VCA WF mission is to provide enduring financial support to benefit the purebred Vizsla in the areas of health research and rescue. Because of his dedication to the breed, Frank and his family asked the VCA WF to establish and manage the Frank Lacko Memorial Cancer Research Fund for directed donations. This fund will be used to support research to find the causes and cures of the various forms of cancer that affect our beloved breed.

More information regarding the fund, along with information on how to donate, can be found on the VCA website link here:
